Transportation

• Drive south from auckland on state highway one (sh1). travel over the bombay hills to the southern side.
• turn left onto sh2 towards the coromandel peninsula and after a while left onto sh25 to thames.
• before thames you’ll drive over a 450 metre one lane bridge that has traffic lights. turn right at kopu where you will see a mobil service station on the other side of the road. follow this road until the next intersection on your left.
• turn left onto sh25a and travel on the kopu hikuai road. this road is sign posted with tairua and whitianga. sh25a then joins onto sh25 on the other side, keep driving towards tairua then on towards whitianga.
• when you arrive in whitianga continue through the round-about and follow the road to the end. turn left onto buffalo beach road and admiralty lodge motel is about 50m on the left.
• the drive will take you approx 2.5 to 3 hours from auckland airport.
